The Angels Online Global operations team has acknowledged that its July 28 maintenance update caused disruptions, specifically citing reduced EXP gains experienced by some players following a recent level cap increase. The team attributed the problem to insufficient complementary adjustments made alongside that cap raise.
What changes on August 4
- Hard Mode dungeon: "Summer Beach" receives a high-difficulty variant requiring Level 100+. Monsters scale to Level 130 and carry a chance to drop Level 120 Equipment Gacha.
- EXP Boost Event: A 2× EXP buff goes live across all servers from August 4 until August 18, 2026 at 09:30 UTC+8.
- Watermelon King reward tweak: Last-hit rewards for defeating the "Watermelon King" boss will now include a chance to drop V Scroll Gacha.
- Capoo Feed Exchange adjustment: The required exchange amount for "Capoo Event Potions" has been revised. Players who exchanged Capoo Feed for Red or Blue Potions between the July 28 and August 4 maintenance windows will receive a compensation payout for the difference, distributed before the August 11 maintenance.
- Assassin skill fixes: Unspecified corrections to Skill Learning content for the Assassin class.
Compensation via in-game mail
- Double Pet EXP Card ×4 — claimable July 29 through August 4 at 09:30 UTC+8.
- Energy-Pouch(10) ×1 — claimable after August 4 maintenance through August 11 at 09:30 UTC+8.
For players who felt the sting of diminished EXP returns post-patch, the temporary 2× buff and mail rewards offer a direct, if time-limited, remedy.
