Approximately Up 1.0.201 Adds Mirroring, Crouch-Swimming, and Several Bug Fixes
A mid-sized quality-of-life patch addresses building tools, cloud save conflicts, and a long-standing autopilot inversion error.
Update 1.0.201 for Approximately Up arrives with a handful of additions to the building system, a notable save-file fix, and corrections to several persistent bugs.
What changed
New features
- Block mirroring is now available for individual placements and for whole selections made with the G key; the default keybind is V.
- Writable labels can be flipped 180 degrees while editing by pressing Ctrl.
- Players can now crouch while swimming.
Visual and UI updates
- The Brachiosaurus Egg radar icon has been updated to distinguish it from the Base icon.
- All gate icons have been refreshed.
- Several objective descriptions have been rewritten for clarity.
Save system
- Story Mode saves are now tied to a Steam account rather than the physical machine, resolving an issue where GeForce NOW generated a new save on every session.
Bug fixes
- Animal transport quests (Mammooth Express, Return Of The Herd, Triceratops Transport) could silently fail to register completion — this is now corrected.
- The Gyro-Line had both outputs inverted in 180-degree rotated mode. Existing autopilots that relied on the previous (incorrect) behavior can be preserved by multiplying the output by -1 or using a Subtractor.
- Beacons now correctly apply black hole distortion when aligning to a target planet.
- A Lava Pumping Tank collision that triggered an explosion on entering Fly Mode has been fixed.
- A rare crash tied to ocean submersion has been resolved.
For builders and pilots especially, the mirroring tool and the Gyro-Line correction represent the most immediately practical changes in this release.
