Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Patch 2.5 Overhauls Ranked, Fixes Widespread Bugs
A dense September update touches ranked mode, animation, balance, and over two hundred localization corrections across the roster.
Patch 2.5, published September 2, 2026 and authored by Potts, is one of the broader updates the game has received — covering new systems, content additions, fighter-specific corrections, and a substantial localization pass.

- Ranked Mode 1.0 is now live
- The Main Menu gains a button callout to reopen the Newsletter

- Zaheer's Final Technique updated: Ghazan now animates differently rather than moving straight up

- Fixed a bug stripping hitstop from attackers on certain flow moves with the dodge trigger property removed
- Fixed a damage-scaling bug tied to move hit order
- Ba Sing Se window NPC colors corrected; "Bumi (Son)" renamed to "Commander Bumi"
- 204+ localization fixes
Fighter-Specific Changes
- Aang: Final Technique now instant KOs unbalanced opponents
- Azula: Fixed Lo and Li behavior on double KOs
- Katara: EX Kara Cancel Rekka removed
- Korra: Chained special and EX cancels fixed; j.214A/B instant-land bug resolved
- Kyoshi: Flow stance evasion added to all highs
- Sokka: Suki and Yue support reactions to Super Technique corrected; Boomerang catch accuracy fixed
- Ozai: "First boosted normal does more damage" fix; j.236EX no longer unintentionally free
- Zaheer: Hitstop bug on flow-dodge hitbox fixed
- All supports: cheaper flow cancels on first-match intros corrected
