Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.1.5 Targets Deployment, Aiming, and Vehicle Bugs
A focused quality-of-life patch addresses a quiet but meaningful list of reliability and presentation issues across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC.
Update 1.4.1.5 is described by its authors as a smaller, targeted release — no sweeping feature additions, just a disciplined sweep through persistent friction points in Multiplayer and Battle Royale. It launched Tuesday, August 4 at 8 AM UTC.
What changed
Gameplay and soldiers
- Transitioning to aim-down-sights with a Sniper Rifle while suppressed is now smoother for classes other than Recon.
- Soldier models, HUD, and UI elements appear more quickly after deploying into a match.
- Soldiers no longer trigger the "Falling Man Down" animation after briefly touching water.
- A ghost crosshair that briefly appeared when entering or exiting ADS has been removed.
- A geometry exploit on Iberian Offensive — where players could pass through or become stuck in a stone foundation wall — has been corrected.
Vehicles
- Thermal Smoke Discharge now correctly damages nearby enemies when the vehicle is on a slope.
- Main Battle Tank Canister Shells no longer convert into Aim-Guided Shells when swapping primary and secondary weapons mid-reload.
Weapons
- The 1P86 Variable Scope can no longer be used simultaneously with an underbarrel launcher.
- Underbarrel attachment models on the M123K now update visually when the equipped attachment is changed.
Progression
- The Season 3 Catch-Up Hardware Challenge for the PP-19 now correctly tracks Suppression Assists.
None of these changes redefine the game, but the cumulative effect — cleaner deployments, honest vehicle mechanics, and reliable challenge tracking — reduces the small frustrations that erode confidence in a live-service title.
