Battlefield Season 5 Launches 'Hunt: Signal Override' Discord Puzzle Event
A week-long community mystery event offers players a shot at in-game rewards — if enough of them solve the puzzles together.
Beginning October 6, Battlefield's Season 5 community event, Hunt: Signal Override, tasks players with solving one new mystery per day over the course of a week. The event runs entirely through the Battlefield Discord, with answers submitted privately via the Battlefield Bot.
How it works
- A new mystery is released each day, with three attempts allowed per puzzle.
- Correct submissions count toward a shared community threshold — once enough players answer correctly, a Season 5 reward or preview unlocks for everyone.
- Players may collaborate and share theories in a dedicated discussion channel.
- All four daily answers must be saved; they feed into a weekend puzzle and a Monday final challenge.
- The first mystery went live at 19:00 CEST / 11:00 PT on October 6.
The reward
Players who correctly solve at least two of the daily mysteries become eligible for the Emberbrush Soldier Skin. Eligibility requires using the same Discord account throughout the event, with direct messages enabled so the Battlefield Bot can deliver qualification notices.
The structure is designed around collective progress rather than individual competition — meaning a player's correct answer benefits the entire community, while the skin remains a personal prize tied to consistent participation.
