BitCraft Online Patches SpacetimeDB 1.12 to 2.10, Reworks Tree Respawn Logic

The September 21st patch for BitCraft Online centers on a major backend shift: the game's SpacetimeDB dependency has been upgraded from version 1.12 to 2.10. The developers note this is largely invisible to players today, but required rewriting significant portions of the game client to accommodate a change in how data is transmitted from STDB 2.0 onward. The upgrade is positioned as groundwork for future optimizations and new features.

Because of that client rewrite, the team is asking players to report anything behaving unexpectedly — particularly damage numbers, animations, or UI elements that seem unresponsive.

What changed

• Bulk item conversion now resolves as a single action, addressing synchronization errors between client and server
• T1 trees no longer have withered saplings and will always respawn locally after a set time
• T2–T3 trees no longer respawn locally on their own; players must interact with the withered sapling to trigger a local respawn, or the global respawner handles it
• Pie durations updated for several pies missed in a prior food pass
• A panel has been added behind the title screen announcements for readability
• Fixed double-respawn bug on T1–T3 trees when interacting with withered saplings
• Fixed players occasionally attacking twice in a row
• Fixed facial cosmetics in the Hexite Exchange try-on preview
• Fixed wrong text color in traveler task UI under dark mode
• Fixed lag spikes caused by item discovery code during large crafting operations
• Fixed a warning spam tied to other players' hidden deployables

The developers also note they are investigating ways to let players replant depleted trees and to address specific areas where tree density had grown high enough to cause performance problems.

For players, the tree respawn changes represent the most tangible shift to daily resource gathering, rewarding those who actively tend saplings rather than waiting on automatic regrowth.
