BitCraft Online's Shores of Summer Brings Seasonal Loot, New Biomes, and Island Ruins

BitCraft Online's July 9th update arrives under the banner of Shores of Summer, splitting its additions between a seasonal event running until August 20th and a broader set of permanent content changes.

What Changed

Seasonal Event (ends August 20th — items persist after)

• Digging sand of any non-beach tier, or extracting from most tier 1–2 resources, has a chance to yield a map leading to an Ice Chest
• The map triggers a single-step prospecting activity; the Ice Chest drops colored Pool Tubes, Flippers, and occasional shells

Permanent Additions

• Sand now yields shells, which can be built into decorative displays for homes and settlements
• Pineapple Bushes and Banana Trees added as harvestable resources; their fruits craft into Sodas that provide a buff
• Packed Ice drops Ice Slush, used to craft popsicles
• Sand Castle decorations can be built from sand
• A new Face Accessory cosmetic slot has been introduced, with three craftable glasses variants: Round Reading Glasses, Ancient Reading Glasses, and Seaside Reading Glasses

Uncharted Islands Part 3

• Scholar Activity — the Uncharted Ruin: NPC Rumbagh offers research tasks in exchange for doubloons or Study Journals; rare knowledge scrolls granting permanent stats drop here, with additional sources planned outside the islands
• Tailoring Activity — Silkmoth Breeding Grounds: Tailors collect and breed silkmoths to produce silk, exchangeable for doubloons or convertible to cloth

The patch also notes several new metrics added to investigate disconnections, along with unspecified changes intended to reduce them.

For players who engage across crafting, exploration, and decoration, this is one of the more broadly distributed content drops the game has seen — touching nearly every play style simultaneously.
