Black Desert's July 16 Update Brings Winged Mermaid Boss and Seasonal Events

Three time-limited activities arrived in Black Desert following the July 16, 2026 maintenance window, each running until July 30 unless noted otherwise.

What changed

Winged Mermaid (July 16 – July 30)

• A new World Boss, the Winged Mermaid, spawns twice daily at Terrmian Beach.
• Defeating the boss and completing an associated weekly quest yields rewards including up to 1,500 Cron Stones, available through a new quest NPC named Pubi.
• New fishing loot has been added at Terrmian Beach, including a Rare Ocean Treasure Bundle.

The Fountain Feels Festive (July 16 – July 30)

• A quest accepted from the Black Spirit, tied to anticipation of the Heidel Festival, offers a fixed set of completion rewards:
