Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Launches Season 4 with Vow System and New Oath Strength Attribute

Season 4 of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance — titled Lightchase Oath — introduces a layered vow-and-energy loop as the spine of its seasonal gameplay.

What changed

The Vow System

• Before entering Chaotic Realm challenges, players choose one of five Vow Altars, each granting different buff effects.
• Defeating monsters in combat generates Vow Energy. Parties with more unique Vows among their members accumulate Vow Energy faster.
• A player's Vow begins at Level 1; bonus stats scale upward as the Vow Level rises.
• Devices scattered across the map can trigger Oath Trials when fed Vow Energy; the amount spent determines the Oath Level, which governs the strength of temporary buffs granted to players — and the empowerment applied to nearby monsters.
• Defeating those empowered monsters returns additional Vow Energy, completing the loop.
• Lightchase Spirits may appear in Chaotic Realm; defeating them yields Lightchase Gifts.

Oath Strength — the new seasonal attribute

• A new stat, Oath Strength, appears on every adventurer's attribute panel this season.
• Falling below an enemy's Oath Strength significantly reduces damage dealt and healing while increasing damage taken.
• Exceeding monsters' Oath Strength by 150 points per tier increases damage dealt by 5% (cap: 20%) and healing by 2% (cap: 8%).
• Against monsters and raid bosses from prior seasons, damage dealt is increased by 100%.

Advanced Attributes

• Stats such as Crit, Haste, and Mastery are moderately increased each season to support different class specializations — though the source trails off before detailing specifics.

For players, Season 4 means Oath Strength is effectively a gating stat: ignoring it carries steep combat penalties, while investing in it — and coordinating diverse Vows within a party — unlocks meaningful offensive and healing bonuses.
