Developer tanssemstudio has shipped the GRIDLOCK Content Update for Caddywack, expanding the game's weapon count from 8 to 34 and introducing systemic changes that touch nearly every layer of a run.

What changed

Arsenal and evolutions

  • 26 new weapons added, including the Tesla Coil, Disco Ball, Subwoofer, Hubcap Hurler, Speed Camera, Oil Slick, Tar Pit, and more — each built around a distinct mechanical role.
  • Maxing out certain weapons now evolves them into stronger forms: Gatling Grille, Buzzsaws, Bumper Barrage, Toxic Burnout, Total Rave, Bass Drop, Defibrillator, and Merch Storm.
  • Projectiles now use proper 3D models, replacing placeholder shapes.

New enemies

  • Five enemies join the streets: Crosstown Bus, Haunted Hearse, Moped Gang, Road Pirate, and Scooter Van.

Run variety

  • Five random mid-run events — Rush Hour Surge, Elite Convoy, Mortar Barrage, Hold the Intersection, and Gremlin Infestation — can interrupt a run, and the same event will not appear twice in a row.
  • Ten run mutators, including GLASS CANNON, MOPED MADNESS, and RUSH HOUR FOREVER, alter the rules for an entire run.
  • Enemy spawns now vary by city district, meaning the route driven actively changes the threat mix encountered.
  • Supply beacons are scattered across the map; smashing one triggers a full-power attack or instant hull repair.

Difficulty

  • Runs now open with lighter traffic and build toward a larger peak horde, replacing the previous difficulty curve.

For players who found Caddywack's original loop thin, GRIDLOCK is a structural overhaul rather than a routine content pass.
