CARDED: Groups to Glory

Update 1.1 is live for CARDED: Groups to Glory, and developer TheKingTaco describes it as the game's biggest update to date — a characterisation the patch notes support.

What changed

Coaching Style is the headline addition: a seven-level spectrum running from Free Rein to Iron Discipline, with every new run starting at Balanced. Where you sit on that spectrum meaningfully shifts which stats benefit most:

  • Relaxed styles amplify gains to Morale, Fitness, and Hype
  • Disciplined styles amplify gains to Sharpness, Synergy, and Pressure

Players can nudge their style one step toward Relaxed for 25 Synergy, or one step toward Disciplined for 25 Morale. Rest and intense training can also shift the dial organically. The system ships with dedicated controls, previews, tutorials, and a persistent top-bar display.

Apply All allows every remaining Training Card to be assigned to one player in a single action, covering normal cards, Coach Pack scraps, and both controller and keyboard input. It cannot be used alongside Cycle Mode.

Run Information has been rebuilt into four tabs — Run Overview, Fixtures, Knockout Bracket, and Global Modifiers. The knockout view replaces a fixture list with a graphical Trophy of Earth bracket that includes route lines, current-match highlighting, and Third-Place Playoff support.

A new in-game Glossary documents attributes, resources, tactics, identities, coaches, cards, rewards, and display modes.

Coach overhaul: the complete 100-coach catalogue has been rebuilt, with all coach descriptions and Enhanced descriptions rewritten.

Taken together, the update touches nearly every layer of a run — from how training is managed to how progress is read — making it a significant moment for players already deep in the game.
