Cat Mail Co. Gains Controller Support, Mac Version, and Auto-Save
A substantial post-launch update addresses the most-requested gaps in the postal cat simulator's feature set.
Maracas Studio has shipped a quality-of-life update for Cat Mail Co. that brings several features players had been requesting since launch, including full controller support and a dedicated Mac OS release.
What changed
New features
- Controller support added
- Full input rebinding now available
- Camera zoom added to better inspect packages
- The game now auto-saves each time a customer is served
- An official Mac OS version is available
Quality of life
- Option to invert X and Y axes for both mouse and gamepad
- Sprint mode now configurable: hold, toggle, or always-on
- A confirmation pop-up now appears before settings are reverted
- Minor localization improvements
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug causing the black cat player character to spawn multiple times, rendering the game unplayable
- Fixed room achievements failing to unlock on saves carried over from the demo
- Fixed stamps visually overlapping with medium box package models
- Fixed a painting indicator that was sometimes invisible
The studio notes that further updates are planned, making this a meaningful but not final expansion of the game's polish. For players who held off due to the absence of controller support or a Mac build, the barrier to entry has meaningfully dropped.
