Catio Simulator

Patch v1.1.2 for Catio Simulator arrives as a focused round of improvements — no sweeping redesign, just the kind of refinements that smooth daily play.

What changed

  • Cat pinning: Specific cats can now be pinned or unpinned. A pinned unadopted cat has its adoption button disabled, LB-to-adopt blocked on controller, and is excluded from the auto-adopter — giving players firm control over which cats stay.
  • FPS cap: A new cap setting lives under Settings > Audio & Graphics > Cap FPS. It cannot run alongside Vsync; the developer recommends Vsync unless the goal is to push the frame ceiling below the monitor's refresh rate to reduce GPU load.
  • Swap pet and select: A new toggle under Settings > Gameplay reverses the inputs for petting and selecting cats, applying to both mouse and controller/Steam Deck. The on-screen control display updates to reflect the swap.
  • Naming bug fixed: A bug that generated contradictory cat names — a grey cat called "orange," for instance — has been resolved. Cats already seen with mismatched names are intentionally left unchanged.

Taken together, the patch gives players more deliberate control over adoption flow, hardware overhead, and input layout — modest additions that cater directly to how people are already playing the game.
