TonyAndChill's first significant post-launch update to CerbCade touches nearly every visible surface in both of its games, while quietly resolving a handful of bugs that had real consequences for play.

HELLFALL

The descent through Hell's 42 circles has been repainted end-to-end, each circle given its own palette — from cold violet gates at the top to a molten core at the bottom. Rock platforms are now rim-lit, lava carries bloom, and all characters — the soul, shades, demon orbs, hellbats, and a newly three-headed Cerberus — have received painted treatment. Boss fight visuals, health bars, win screens, and leaderboards are reworked.

On the feel side:

  • A new grapple reticle shows which rock the pitchfork will catch before throwing, with slight aim forgiveness on edge clips
  • Fixed a bug where aiming down across a wide ledge could hook the platform underfoot and pull the player into it
  • A heat-rise warning now appears before an off-screen lava pool enters the frame

GRAVE SHIFT

The graveyard is now a moonlit lawn with cold blue ambient light and a warm lantern that moves with the player. The HUD has been stripped back: panels are smaller, the score is repositioned out of the zombie approach lane, the wave banner recedes during combat, and the controls reminder fades once it's no longer needed.

  • A new threat compass uses edge arrows to mark every off-screen zombie
  • Fog changed from a hard circle to a wide soft falloff
  • Fixed: waves could stall indefinitely on a stuck straggler
  • The shop now closes with ESC in addition to ENTER/SPACE
  • Survivors, zombies, molten pools, and the shop itself have all been repainted

The source notes Steam leaderboards are also part of the update, though the text is cut off before details are given. Taken together, v1.3 makes both games substantially more readable — and fairer.
