Comedy Night Gains Throwable Items, Follower System, and Deeper Room Controls
A broad update to the social comedy platform reshapes how crowds, performers, and room admins interact.
Comedy Night has received what its developers describe as one of the game's biggest updates, touching nearly every layer of the experience — from crowd behaviour on stage to how players manage their social circles off it.
What changed
Social & audio
- Players can now throw items during shows, creating new real-time interaction between audience and performers.
- A followers and following screen lets players see mutual connections and when they were last online, with follow/unfollow controls in the same view.
- Individual player volume can now be adjusted independently.
Tournaments
- Previous monthly tournament winners are now viewable, and last month's winners have floating trophies displayed on their tables.
Room & stage customization
- New atmosphere effects available to room admins: Fire Jets, Smoke Blast, Stage Fog, Disco Lights, and Lasers.
- Admins can now keep their custom stage backdrop visible at all times, not only while performing.
- Room owners can permanently ban players across current and future rooms, with an editable ban list for corrections.
- Crowd reactions can be disabled entirely for a more controlled show.
Character animation
- Performers now turn their head and eyes toward crowd members who are speaking, with upper-body rotation following gaze direction.
- Crowd animations have been revised so members react more naturally rather than uniformly.
Taken together, the update gives room owners meaningfully stronger moderation tools while making the stage feel like a more responsive, inhabited space for everyone in it.
