Corgi & Woolly Update 1.0.6 Tackles Stuttering, Adds FPS Controls
PICO studio's latest patch addresses system-impact complaints with a batch of performance fixes and new user-facing settings.
Update 1.0.6 for Corgi & Woolly - Little Horizon is now live, targeting a cluster of performance and input issues that players had reported since launch.
What changed
Performance and system impact
- Removed the FPS cap previously tied to the monitor's refresh rate
- Adjusted cursor synchronization and other processes affecting mouse controls
- Optimized display scaling and input-related processing
- Separated and optimized background processes to reduce overall system load
New settings
- Selectable FPS limit options, configurable from the Settings menu
- A screensaver option that allows the screensaver to activate while the game is running — fixing a long-standing conflict
- A new way to adjust ranch size, also added to the Settings menu
- Scrolling added to the language selection menu
Other changes
- Reduced application file size
- Adjusted probability and conditions of certain in-game events
- Additional minor optimizations and bug fixes
PICO studio notes that results will vary by PC environment and what else is running alongside the game. The studio credits player reports and testing assistance for guiding the update.
For a game built around a quiet, ambient experience, reducing stutter and mouse interference is a meaningful quality-of-life step — the new FPS limiter in particular gives players a direct lever to tune the game to their hardware.
