Defrag Incremental's Day-One Patch Addresses Blocking Bugs and Save System Failures

Developer polloarcadelowbit has shipped a stability update for Defrag Incremental after acknowledging that the game's first day was "rougher than intended," with some players hitting bugs severe enough to block their runs entirely.

The patch covers a broad range of issues, from critical progression failures to display problems that could leave the game trapped in an unusably small window.

What changed

• Blocking bugs fixed that prevented players from continuing runs
• Save and load system repaired
• Workday logic corrected — the workday no longer starts twice, and time advancement now better matches the in-game clock
• Duplicated day-start messages and animations removed
• Workday timer and reboot issues resolved across several cases
• Interrupted disks now grant partial Reboot Charge proportional to completion progress
• BIOS General tab and Options menu fixed
• Fullscreen mode now correctly restores monitor resolution on exit
• Windowed resolution options reworked, with improved support for 16:10 aspect ratios
• Inconsistent Reboot Charge requirements across panels corrected
• End-of-day interface improved at common screen resolutions
• Various smaller progression and interface fixes for early runs

The developer states they are continuing to review reports and will address remaining balance, usability, and technical issues. For players who bounced off a broken first session, the game is now considerably more stable ground to return to.
