DragonSword : Awakening

The DragonSword: Awakening team has issued a patch notice coinciding with the game's official launch, warning pre-launch build participants that a partial progression reset is now in effect. Players beginning the game fresh from today's launch are unaffected.

What changed

The following categories have been reset for pre-launch players:

  • Cooking Recipes — Discovered recipes are reset and must be found again; recipes discovered post-patch save normally.
  • Mini-Game Records — Records are wiped and mini-games can be replayed, but rewards already claimed cannot be collected a second time.
  • Titles / Achievements — All titles reset except those earned through Mercenary Corps promotions. Achievement progress values are preserved, so titles can be reclaimed by collecting achievement rewards. Accumulated Fame stage rewards are also reset but are claimable again.
  • Karma Codex — Affected entries are cleared; the corresponding Karma must be gathered again to re-register them.
  • Sudden Missions — Discovery records in the Merc Guide are reset; locations must be rediscovered from scratch.

The team notes that all progress recorded after this patch will save normally going forward.

For pre-launch players, the reset is a meaningful setback in exploratory content — particularly mini-games, where previously claimed rewards are permanently gone — though the preservation of achievement progress values softens the blow on the title-hunting front.
