Elders K.O. Update 1.0.5370 Adds Public Lobbies, How-To-Play Guide, and Graphics API Options
A broad quality-of-life patch touches loading performance, discoverability, inventory logic, and in-game guidance in a single release.
The 11 August update to Elders K.O. (1.0.5370) covers a wider surface than most single patches, reaching from the initial loading screen down to how ammo lands in a player's inventory.
What changed
- Performance: The initial loading screen is described as quicker and lighter.
- Graphics API options: Vulkan and DirectX 12 launch options are now enabled on Steam. Vulkan remains the recommended path; DirectX 12 is offered as a fallback for those with compatibility issues.
- How To Play book: A dedicated guidance resource is now accessible from the main menu and lobby.
- Public lobby list: Players can now browse and join public lobbies directly.
- Battle of Bellies map removed: One map was cut from the Battle of Bellies mode for being too large, though it remains available in other minigames.
- Full armor bundle card: A single card that grants four armor pieces has been added.
- Ammo as purchasable cards: Ammo can now appear among cards available for purchase.
- Ammo inventory routing: Ammo now routes to inventory slots rather than the hotbar — the patch note flags that 16% of players had never opened the inventory at all.
- Small fixes, plus undisclosed groundwork for future updates.
Taken together, the patch lowers friction for new players through the How-To-Play addition and public lobby list, while the inventory and ammo changes suggest the developer is nudging players toward systems they were quietly ignoring.
