Empyrion v1.19.5 Brings New POIs and Predictable Trading Lines to Testing Grounds

Elsinore Softworks has released v1.19.5 (Build 5187) for Empyrion – Galactic Survival, billing it as an interim update that combines bug fixes with substantive new content — though the headline additions are gated behind a specific scenario.

Testing Grounds scenario (new game required)

• More than a hundred new POIs added for Arkenian, ARC, Polaris, and Helios factions, replacing older structures in the Arkenian Republic's home system and galactic territory. Credit for this work is attributed to community contributor Stellar_Titan.
• The Arkenians' home star system has been rearranged, adding new celestial bodies — Sulus, Dacor, and Hecken — alongside a revised layout of planetary surfaces and orbital sectors.
• The first iteration of Trading Lines is live: structures now buy and sell goods that match their theme, and are placed on planets and orbits corresponding to those themes. Trade viability between two stations is similarly predictable rather than randomised.

The developers note these changes are accessible only by starting a fresh game under the "Testing Grounds" scenario and travelling to the Arkenia star system. Feedback is being solicited via the official forums.

For players who have wanted more legible trade logistics, the shift away from randomised commerce is the most consequential change here — though it remains a first iteration subject to revision.
