ESO Season One Brings the Thieves Guild to Glenumbra on July 8
A new questline relocates the Thieves Guild from Hew's Bane to High Rock, with returning character Quen at the center of a gang war against a new criminal cartel.
The Elder Scrolls Online's Season One launches July 8, and all players will gain access to a new Thieves Guild story set in Glenumbra — a departure from the guild's previous home in Hew's Bane.
The narrative follows the Abah's Landing chapter of the Thieves Guild as it attempts to establish a new foothold in High Rock, drawn there by tensions among Daggerfall's local criminal factions and a threat from an organization called the Koldane Cartel.
What's in the questline
- New location: The Thieves Guild moves from Hew's Bane to Glenumbra, described as a major trading hub of the Daggerfall Covenant.
- Returning character: Quen, a senior guild member from the Thieves Guild DLC, leads the expansion effort — while being pursued by a Lion Guard captain over a crime she didn't commit.
- Three rival gangs: Players must navigate alliances with the Streethawks, House Menant, and the Roadsworn, each described as having distinct styles and ambitions.
- Central antagonist: The Koldane Cartel is framed as the common threat forcing uneasy cooperation among Daggerfall's criminal underground.
The questline is available to all ESO players at Season One's launch, making it one of the broader content additions tied to the new seasonal structure.
