The Elder Scrolls Online's August 2026 calendar is dense in its opening weeks, stacking four overlapping activities across a narrow window.
What's happening
- Golden Pursuits — Sheogorath Takes a Holiday (July 29–August 12): A Sheogorath-themed campaign rewards players who complete the new Sheogorath questline with gold, armor, and a unique action tied to the Daedric Prince.
- Bethesda 40th Anniversary Reward (July 30–August 13): The code
Bethesda40unlocks 2,000 Trade Bars delivered to in-game mail. The code is only valid within the promotion window. - Bethesda 40th Anniversary Sale (July 30–August 13): ESO and its expansions are available at reduced prices as part of Bethesda's birthday celebrations. Sale details vary by platform and product.
- Update 51 on PTS (August 3): The PC/Mac Public Test Server opens for community testing of content described as belonging to future Season One and Season Two, including new solo content and in-game events.
- Whitestrake's Mayhem (August 5–12): The recurring PvP event returns across Cyrodiil, the Imperial City, and Battlegrounds, offering bonus Alliance Points, Experience Points, and Tel Var Stones. Fragments of the Colovian War Torte recipe are also available — but the event no longer grants Trade Bars, a change from previous iterations.
The removal of Trade Bars from Whitestrake's Mayhem is the most structurally significant shift here, quietly adjusting the economic incentive for a long-standing PvP event.
