Esports Manager 2026 Patch 1.0.1 Overhauls Transfers, Fixes Scouting Filters
A substantial first post-launch patch reshapes the loan market, tightens transfer logic, and resolves a scouting bug that was silently hiding players.

The first numbered patch for Esports Manager 2026 arrives with its weightiest changes in the transfer market, where AI clubs can now loan players to one another — not merely buy and sell.
What changed
Transfers & Loans
- AI teams now conduct player loans between themselves, with clubs prioritising bench and youth players for outgoing loans while protecting starting-eleven talent.
- Player consent is modelled: a strong player will refuse a loan to a significantly weaker club.
- Each team is capped at two loans in and two loans out; region and compatibility factors apply.
- Loan expiry returns the player to their parent club with the original contract intact; an early-return option exists for a reduced fee via a new "Return" button.
- An "On loan" label appears in player profiles, and loan activity surfaces in daily transfer news across all languages and in transfer history.
- The "Sell" action for a player under negotiation lock is now available — the cooldown only blocks new contract signings, not sales.
- A first transfer offer that falls far below market value now triggers an immediate 365-day negotiation ban for that player.
Scouting & Filters
- A bug causing the default max-wage field to stick at 12345 has been fixed; an untouched filter no longer silently removes players from results.
- The scouting header counter now reflects the filtered player count rather than the full pool size.
- "Confirm" applies filters and closes the window; "Reset" zeroes all fields and resets dropdowns without closing.
Localisation
- Raw escape sequences (such as
\\xF6andł) stripped from the negotiation-lock message across seven locales: Swedish, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish, and Turkish.
For players relying on scouting to find talent, the filter fix alone removes an invisible ceiling that may have been distorting searches since launch.
