Esports Manager 2026 Patch 1.0.5.2 Overhauls Loans, Retirements, and Transfer UI

Patch 1.0.5.2 for Esports Manager 2026, published 29 July 2026, addresses three areas that had accumulated meaningful friction: the loan system, player retirement, and transfer list legibility.

What changed

Retirement & Second Careers

• Retiring players can now enter the staff market as free-agent coaches or analysts.
• Two-way profile links connect a retired player's old card to their new staff card, allowing a career to be traced across both roles.
• Retirement letters have been reworked; the player's photo is retained on the staff card.
• Fixed a bug where retired-player profile links broke when navigating back and forth between profiles.

Loan System Overhaul

• Loan length is now governed by a single rule — a term of 3 to 18 months — replacing four previously conflicting sources (popup, AI, pricing, and signed contract).
• Old saves are repaired on load, re-pricing existing loan offers to match the term they will actually be signed under.
• AI sellers responding to loan requests will no longer counter with half the purchase price.
• Loan-related emails now carry loan-specific wording across all 11 supported languages, removing lines that accused players of "undervaluing the transfer" after a loan request.
• AI buyers will now accept an asking price rather than returning the buyer's own terms.
• Loan requests are filtered by club caliber and squad size, ending requests from clubs far below the player's level.

Transfer List

• Loan deals are no longer displayed as purchases; loan rows now carry a "Loan" caption beneath the destination club and a return date beneath the transfer date.

Taken together, the changes remove a category of opaque, self-contradicting negotiation logic that had made the loan market effectively unreliable.
