EverRail 0.2.9 Adds Difficulty Sliders, Auto Feeder, and Glider Fixes
A focused mid-development patch expands player control over challenge and survival automation while smoothing out one of the game's more unusual traversal systems.
Patch 0.2.9 for EverRail, posted by developer g.crawford on 1 September 2026, arrives as a compact but purposeful update touching difficulty customisation, quality-of-life crafting, and glider behaviour.
What changed
Custom Difficulty Sliders
- New damage multiplier slider for robot enemies
- New sliders for enemy health and enemy magazine size
- New ISO yield per wisp slider
Auto Feeder
- A new Auto Feeder I item, craftable in the Lab
- Automatically reduces hunger when it drops to 75, consuming one durability per feeding, provided the item is in an active toolbelt slot
- Food items now carry Auto-Feed traits, broadening which rations the system can consume
Glider improvements
- Tunnel detection on launch is more reliable, including tunnels close ahead and tunnels above the catcher and launcher wagons
- Better performance during flight
- The glider is now hidden on the loadout station while the player is airborne
Other notes
- New games now start with a minimum of four wagons, correcting an issue where the glider catcher could be absent from the train
- The patch also includes unspecified bug fixes and balance changes
- Mouse control and invertible glider controls are noted as planned for a future patch
For players who found EverRail's survival loop either too punishing or too forgiving, the new sliders offer a meaningful degree of tuning — while the Auto Feeder quietly removes one of the more repetitive friction points in longer sessions.
