EXSTETRA

Studio Lalala Staff has released an update for the Steam version of EXSTETRA, bringing bug fixes and assorted adjustments to the RPG.

What changed

  • DLC item drops: Fixed an issue where DLC-exclusive items could appear under unintended circumstances.
  • High-refresh-rate displays: Resolved a graphics rendering problem that could occur when the refresh rate was set above 60 Hz.
  • Crash fixes: Several crash-causing issues have been addressed — though the studio notes the fix may not hold across all PC configurations and investigation is continuing.
  • Radeon workaround: Players using AMD Radeon graphics cards who still experience crashes are advised to delete save data, fully uninstall the driver via AMD Cleanup Utility or DDU, and roll back to the Adrenalin 25.12.1 WHQL release from December 2025.
  • Fullscreen crash mitigation: As a temporary measure, the startup flow has been adjusted so the title screen appears before the opening movie. This lets players reach the Settings menu immediately and switch from Fullscreen to Windowed mode before a crash can occur.

The studio apologizes for the inconvenience and states that further fixes are planned, including for issues still under investigation.

For players who have been sidelined by instability — particularly on AMD hardware — this patch offers a clearer path back into the game, even if it stops short of a definitive solution.
