Fallout 76 PTS: Sneak Fixes, Paint Preservation, and Slasher Polish

The July 24 playtest build for Fallout 76's Psychophants of Appalachia update arrives with a broad set of fixes and small additions, touching stealth mechanics, crafting, unique items, and the seasonal Slasher event.

What changed

Content additions

• The Nuka Launcher plan is now sold by Minerva.
• Xerxo's Gamma Ray Gun drops from the seasonal Invaders event.
• The My Stats section of the personal terminal now displays many more stats.
• The Alerts section of the personal terminal includes a new flavor entry hinting at Infestations.
• Players can always craft the paint mod an item spawned with, even without knowing the plan — ensuring the original default paint remains recoverable.

Bug fixes

• Bullet Storm was not counting correctly for charging reload weapons (such as the Assaultron Head); this is resolved.
• The sneak bonus was failing to apply for six effects: Sneak Bobblehead, Chinese Stealth Armor, Secret Agent's Legendary Mod, Nuka-Inspiration: Dark buff, Garb of Mysteries, and Thorn Armor.
• Attaching the Hooked mod to the Pipe Wrench made it unmodifiable; fixed.
• The Daisy Cutter unique item now correctly grants +20% damage for every 1,000 RAD Resistance.

Slasher event

• Remington Goodwin's avatar now displays properly in the first Daily Ops flyout.
• A Phantom Map no longer disappears from inventory after relogging.
• Ghost Boy now shows the correct invisibility duration when inspected.
• Objective text for "(Seasonal) The Slasher" has been rewritten to better communicate progression and long-term goals.
• Various reward name, weight, and naming inconsistencies corrected; misaligned Ritual Piles fixed.
• Unmarked Grave Maps added to the PTS Locker for testing.

For players invested in stealth builds or the Slasher seasonal content, this build addresses some of the more consequential mechanical gaps that had been quietly undermining both.
