Gemblades Era 2 Patch Rebalances Meta, Adds Hydra Boss and Hoard Mode

The Era 2 patch for Gemblades arrives with a clear mandate: dismantle the dominant strategies that calcified the Era 1 meta and open space for new builds to emerge.

What changed

Balance adjustments

• Rat King's cost has been raised back to 7, acknowledging his outsized influence in Era 1.
• Frost Knight has been reworked to prefer Sapphire housing.
• Shogun and Envy have both been reworked, as the developer cites them as the primary forces skewing balance and variety on the leaderboards.

Gauntlet updates

• The Hydra boss has been added to Gauntlet V, spawning after the other five bosses are defeated and demanding significant gold and power investment.
• Players may now carry only one unique copy of a card between Gauntlets.

New mode: Hoard

• Completing the updated Gauntlet mode once unlocks Hoard mode, in which players face Fafnir and the power of his greed.
• Hoard mode includes a dedicated leaderboard that will be tracked through Era 2.
