Developer Bigsexy pushed a patch to GONE Fishing on September 3, 2026, following a Twitch stream by a player named Mungo. The update spans quality-of-life additions, balance tweaks, and a notable list of bug fixes.

A skip-cutscene button is on the roadmap, though the developer notes the current cutscene is "hardcoded the hell off" — meaning it will take some time to arrive.
