Guardian Heart V1.10 Adds the Orc Race, Bond System, and Western Wilds
The update introduces a fully distinct faction with its own unlock condition, tag-based progression mechanic, and exclusive map.
Version 1.10 of Guardian Heart introduces the Orc race — a new playable faction locked behind a specific unlock condition and built around a mechanic unlike anything in the existing game.
What changed
Unlock requirement
- Clear the Elf race on Hard difficulty to access the Orc race and its exclusive map, the Western Wilds (which includes new BGM).
New content
- 8 Orc units: Ironback, Fighter, Pouncer, Scout, Windchase, Blade, Shaman, and Prayer
- 40 Orc heroes ranging from Common to Limited rarity
The Bond System — the faction's core mechanic
- Bond tags on field units activate tiered effects when enough tags are present; duplicate units do not contribute extra tags
- 18 tags spread across 4 categories: Beast Line (stat bonds for ATK, SPD, and crit), Martial Paths (shapes the Saint's growth), Schools (determines Sacred Beast form and evolution), and Orders (stack power per wave or on kills)
Orc Race Skill — Honor Promotion
- Promotes a field hero one tier (Common → Rare; at level 3, Rare → Epic)
- Skill level increases at Endless waves 30, 40, and 50; cooldown drops from 6 to 4 turns as it levels
Orc Race Covenant — Four Sacred Beasts
- Summons one of four beasts (Vermilion Bird, Black Tortoise, Azure Dragon, White Tiger) to the battlefield
- Each beast carries its own bond tags and evolves up to stage 5; usable once per game
- Covenant level increases at Endless waves 60, 70, and 80
For players who have already cleared the Elf race on Hard, the Orc faction offers a substantially different strategic layer built around tag accumulation and long-arc hero promotion.
