Version 1.71 of Hakoniwa Base Ball rewrites how clubs acquire talent, turning draft day into a process that begins a full year before any picks are made.

What changed

Prospect visibility

• Players are now visible a year in advance, with names and backgrounds shown before draft day arrives.
• Prospects come from high school, college, or corporate and independent ranks.
• A watch list and dedicated comparison tab let you track whoever interests you.
• Highly rated prospects attract more competing bids; lesser-known players may go overlooked — and cheaper.

Scouting

• Ratings are presented as your scouts' current read, with wider uncertainty margins when a player has been seen less.
• Tournament scouting covers an entire class in one trip; a private workout gives a closer look at one player.
• Enough scouting can surface players no other club has found.

Interviews

• Six interviews are available per month, with a cap of three per prospect.
• Prospects have club preferences and aversions; some intend to pursue the corporate route regardless.
• A drafted player can refuse to sign. Those who decline may reappear later through a different route.

Draft night

• Round one uses sealed bids; ties go to a lottery, with losers moving to a re-bid.
• From round two onward, the board fills in round by round.
• The process runs through the developmental draft and closes with a summary; the presentation can be skipped at any point.

Face creator

• A new portrait tool lets players build a custom face for any player.
