Update 2.8's third and final chapter for the Road to Hell event is now live in Hunt: Showdown 1896, bringing two notable additions: a Legacy Chronicle and a new Cargo Crate variant.

Desolation's Call — Legacy Chronicle

The second Legacy Chronicle released for the game, Desolation's Call revisits cosmetic content tied to Desolation's Wake (Update 1.16), reintroducing re-colored Mythic items. It centers on the Desolation's Delegate, formerly known as The Statesman. Key details:

• Availability: Permanent — no completion time limit
• Price: 1,250 Blood Bonds
• Chapters: 4
• Total Rewards: 21, including:
  • Desolation's Delegate (Legendary Hunter, Avatar, and Frame)
  • Legendary weapon skins for the Bornheim No. 3, Frontier 73C, Mako 1895, and Marathon + Swift
  • Equipment animations for the Bornheim No. 3 and Marathon
  • Two charms, a badge, and a title

Confiscated Cargo Crate

A new Cargo Crate type that rewards players with random items — described as similar to Dark Tribute — upon extraction. It can spawn at the Stronghold, with elevated spawn chances during two Chapter 3 weekends:

For players who missed the original Desolation's Wake cosmetics, the permanent availability of Desolation's Call removes the usual time pressure — while the Confiscated Cargo Crate adds a new extraction incentive with a limited window for higher odds.
