Hyperstacks 1.0.1 Patches Lobby Softlocks and Quest Bugs
The first post-release patch addresses two softlocks and a handful of visual and dialogue glitches tied to the game's lobby characters.
Hyperstacks has received its first post-release patch, version 1.0.1, targeting a cluster of bugs discovered in the lobby and quest systems since launch.
What changed
- Softlock fix (Owven): During Owven's punching sequence, the Level Selector quest could accidentally become disabled rather than progress, leaving the lobby frozen until reloaded.
- Softlock fix (Marylink): If the player moved away from the main platform while Marylink was activating her teleporter, the teleporter could become permanently disabled — again requiring a reload to escape.
- Visual fix: The Skin Selector no longer flickers during Marylink's Screwdriver quest.
- Animation fix: Marylink's chicken teleporter despawn animation was sticking on a single frame, preventing Marylink from completing her exit from the lobby.
- Dialogue fixes: Idle dialogue was triggering incorrectly during Jumperine's quests, and Lobb-e Cat was speaking during Marylink's quest when it should have stayed silent.
Known issue remaining: Some dialogue lines have their translation packs incorrectly assigned as English, which the developer has acknowledged but not yet resolved.
For players who encountered a frozen lobby and resorted to reloading, both softlocks are now gone — making the quest sequences in the lobby reliably completable.
