Invasion Protocol

Early Access is over for Invasion Protocol. Published on July 28, 2026, developer GGG announced the full 1.0 release of its top-down, bug-hunting co-op shooter — a game in which players take the role of the invading force rather than the defenders.

What changed

The 1.0 release adds and refines across nearly every layer of the game:

  • Expanded campaign with new maps, sectors, and terrain variations tied to difficulty settings and unlocks
  • More enemy types, mutations, random events, and larger boss encounters
  • Unique soldier abilities fully implemented across all six classes: Soldier, Officer, War Engineer, Infiltrator, Explosives Expert, and Zoner
  • Additional locations and dynamic objectives
  • Major quality-of-life improvements throughout
  • All previous Early Access content — including radio calls, Bell Displacement teleport, War Mech, Rocket Strikes, and Strafe Fighter runs — polished and rebalanced

Core systems remain intact: procedurally linked levels, escalating swarms, per-run gear unlocks, weapon and ability swapping on the fly, and solo or up to four-player shared/split-screen co-op.

The price holds at its Early Access level, with a moderate launch discount applied at release.

For players who held off during Early Access, the 1.0 build represents a substantially broader game than what launched in early form — with the campaign and class design now described as complete.
