Master Healer Kale Launches July 3 with Overhauled Nightmare Mode and 31 New Skill Nodes
Developer Evrac has set a firm release date and published a substantial v1.5 changelog covering difficulty, UI, and skill-tree expansion.
The release of Master Healer Kale with useless party is three days out from this announcement, scheduled for 3rd July at 11:00 AM GMT+7, according to developer Evrac. The final build has been tested and is ready for the "Release App" button.
The accompanying v1.5 changelog is the more substantive news. Nightmare Mode has been substantially reworked — previously described by the developer as "not properly made" — with difficulty now scaling as the dungeon progresses, bosses sporting distinct behaviour patterns, and dungeon effects adjusting to the chosen difficulty. The mode can also now be unlocked via two paths: defeating the final boss or reaching the required skill nodes.
What changed in v1.5
- Joystick Mode now hides the mouse pointer; clicking re-enables mouse control
- Skill node Reset Point allows single-node resets via right-click or gamepad Cancel, cascading to connected nodes
- Windowed Mode added to Options with multiple resolution choices
- Overheal fix: Party Heal now correctly refunds mana when cast at full mana
- Instant Heal mana cost set to 15
- Coin Drop skill values doubled
- Bow Mastery and Staff Mastery now display bonus damage figures
- Fixed a looping spell-charge animation that persisted after battle
- Fixed the Grandpa Bagel achievement tied to healing at 10% health
- 31 new skill nodes added to the Tavern, bringing the total from 222
For players waiting on launch, the Nightmare Mode overhaul is the clearest signal that the game's end-game has been meaningfully deepened before day one.
