MENACE's Alien Update Adds Three New Units to Extend Faction Into Mid-Game

The Alien Update for MENACE is now live, published August 20, 2026 by Overhype Studios. The stated goals are twofold: keep the Alien wildlife faction competitive into the mid-game, and reduce the total number of units needed to fill armies — which the developers say translates directly into faster turns and reduced hardware pressure.

New units appear roughly after the 8th–10th operation, and the update is compatible with existing save games.

What changed

• Blaster Queen — A ranged anti-armor unit combining the Blaster Bug's firepower with the Queen's size and durability. It launches a ball of heated bioplasma over long distances that explodes on impact, shredding vehicle armor and destroying heavily armored infantry.
• Harpy Queen — A large, fast-moving variant of existing Harpy units. It delivers area-effect acid that deteriorates armor and damages flesh, and carries a discipline-buffing aura that makes nearby Xenos more resilient.
• Evolved Warrior — A winged variant of the standard Alien Warrior capable of jumping over long distances to engage troops in close combat, pressuring players who rely on long-range tactics.
