Rain's v1.6 update for Mesmalie, published 26 July 2026, arrives self-described as "nothing too special" — and that's an honest characterisation. There are no new features to speak of, but the patch list is long enough to suggest that some players were hitting real friction.

What changed

Session 1

• The game now autosaves after a key conversation concludes.
• Overlapping text boxes in the kitchen session have been prevented.

Session 2

• Mesmer no longer incorrectly remarks that the cage is empty when it isn't, after the player magicks the cage in her presence.
• A transparency issue with the backyard grass is corrected.
• The screen no longer stays black after magicking yourself during a scene transition.
• Magicking yourself before the minigame on a first playthrough no longer causes dialogue to be skipped.
• Returning to life mid-minigame no longer triggers a world-state glitch.
• An edge-case warp back into the house during the minigame has been blocked.

Session 3

• A skip is now available for the dark screen trap setup scene on subsequent playthroughs.
• A vignette effect that clipped at the screen's bottom edge is fixed.
• The creature no longer leaves a message if the player already magicked it.
• Two contradicting lines on the main route results screen no longer appear simultaneously.

Act 4
