Mistfall Hunter's July 30 Patch Buffs Withered Knight, Fixes Crash and Item Bugs
The game's first post-launch update addresses class balance and a clutch of bugs — arriving the same day the title crossed 100,000 players in eight hours.
Mistfall Hunter's first update landed on July 30, 2026 at 16:00 UTC, requiring a client update through the app store.
What changed
Withered Knight (Polearm and Shield) balance adjustments:
- Charged Dash: energy drain during the shield-raising charge phase slightly reduced; turning performance of a Tier-1 charged dash slightly improved
- Basic Attack: damage on the 1st and 3rd thrust hits slightly increased
- Spear Barrage: damage multiplier slightly increased
- Rainbow Piercer: energy cost and cooldown both slightly reduced
- Block: energy cost reduced
Bug fixes:
- Incorrect key prompts in the Sorcerer's spellcasting tutorial (certain languages) corrected
- Mismatch between visual effect range and actual damage range of the Sorcerer's Flameblade resolved
- Extra Soul of Return no longer consumed when repeatedly entering and exiting a Soul Tree area during extraction-point summoning
- Item splitting via the secondary menu restored
- Console reconnection failures after disconnect addressed
- Occasional impassable-area anomaly in the "General Harald" challenge fixed
- Keys becoming unresponsive when the guide UI was closed quickly resolved
- Controller stick crash on the Seasonal Leaderboard screen fixed
- Equipment unequip issue addressed
Separately, the studio announced a launch reward for reaching 100,000 players within eight hours: a Gesture: Thumbs Up and 500 Soul Coins, claimable via in-game mail by logging in before 2026-09-01 00:00 UTC.
For Withered Knight mains, the cumulative energy reductions across Block, Rainbow Piercer, and Charged Dash represent a meaningful quality-of-life shift in sustained combat.
