Monochrome Echoes - black Adds Fourth Stage, Corrects Stage Count Error
A new explorable area arrives alongside a candid correction to the game's Early Access description — the full release will include eight stages, not four.
The July 20 update for Monochrome Echoes - black unlocks "Blue Moon of the Great Ocean," bringing the total number of explorable stages to four. The addition comes from developer TK@Thousand Games, who publish under the Thousand Games label.
Alongside the new area, the studio issued a correction to the game's Early Access description, which had previously stated plans to expand to four stages total. The accurate figure is eight.
What changed
- New stage "Blue Moon of the Great Ocean" is now accessible
- Total explorable stages rises from three to four
- Early Access description corrected: full release target is eight stages, not four
- Developer notes that content for all eight stages is already completed in initial form
- Early Access period is being used to adjust game balance based on player feedback
- The game is currently Japanese only; English support is not yet available
Updates will continue to roll out gradually, meaning the remaining four stages are not yet accessible regardless of their completion status. For players tracking the game's roadmap, the corrected stage count reframes the scope of what Early Access is working toward — and how much content is waiting behind it.
