The 1.1.45 patch for Moonlight Peaks arrives as a targeted round of fixes rather than a feature update, with XSEED Luke noting that additional improvements are slated for version 1.2.
What changed
Bug fixes
- Added a photo-sensitivity warning on first launch.
- Star signs in the Star Gazing minigame were obscured by black bars on widescreen monitors — now corrected.
- The Loveage Gift Exchange could soft lock the game; that path is now closed.
- Animals in Luna's shop were becoming permanently unavailable after a heart event with Pumpkin Head.
- Weeping Willow respawn rates in the Howling Marshes have been increased to improve late-game access to dark wood.
- The "Back to the Den" achievement failed to trigger after returning all Vampsters. Players already past that milestone will receive the achievement retroactively after advancing one in-game day.
- Players who escaped the Recover the Moon quest without completing its objective — and found themselves unable to continue — will automatically advance to the next quest upon starting a new day.
Performance
- Memory leaks tied to the Bee House and Firefly Sanctuary have been fixed.
- Mouse input performance improved when many interactables are present.
- Performance improved with large numbers of Farm Helpers (Furnace, Refiner, etc.).
- Performance improved when picking up large quantities of items simultaneously.
- Various text issues corrected.
The patch's retroactive fixes for the Vampsters achievement and the Recover the Moon quest are the most consequential changes for players who have been sitting on broken save states.
