My Pocket Paradise 2.0 Adds Eight-Player Co-op, Seasonal Leaderboards, and a New Map

Funbox Studio has released Version 2.0 of My Pocket Paradise, an update the developer describes as the game's biggest to date. The headline addition is online multiplayer co-op, accessible through an NPC called Lucid inside the Museum.

What changed

• Online co-op for up to 8 players — players can host or join rooms via Steam, fish together, chat in real-time, and display custom outfits and banners.
• Separate singleplayer and multiplayer progression — fishing equipment (rods, bobbers, baits) is distinct between the two modes, giving multiplayer a level playing field from the start.
• Season 1 launches — each season runs three months; players earn season points by catching fish in multiplayer waters and compete on a global leaderboard. The top 100 players at season's end receive an exclusive S1 Banner ID permanently tied to their Steam account.
• Weekly fish rotation — rare fish pools refresh weekly, with a countdown visible in the in-game News menu.
• New map: Yozakura — a cherry-blossom setting with fresh fishing spots, playable solo or with others.
• Two new legendary 6-star fish — described as mythical catches, though further details were not included in the announcement.

The decision to keep multiplayer and singleplayer gear entirely separate is the update's most consequential structural choice: it means veteran players carry no equipment advantage into competitive waters, which should matter most to anyone considering the Season 1 leaderboard push.
