North Hunt 1.0 Launches with New Roles, Bots, and a 67% Discount
The social deduction game exits Early Access with its largest content update yet, adding two new roles and a suite of quality-of-life changes.
North Hunt has reached version 1.0, graduating from Early Access on Steam. Developer wandermoony is marking the occasion with a 67% discount tied to Steam Social Deduction Fest.
What changed
The 1.0 update is described as the largest batch of new content and improvements since Early Access began. The headlining additions are two new roles:
- Gnome (Thief) — a shrink mechanic built around deception and escape
- Glider (Chief) — aerial movement for hunting suspicious villagers from above
Beyond the roles, the update delivers a broad range of additions:
- In-room chat with emoji support
- Chief and Thief bots
- Monthly username changes
- 10 new free Chief skins
- Level cap raised to 20
- 2 exclusive Twitch Drops skins
- New custom role settings
- Improved visual effects
- Community Wiki shortcut
- Fixes spanning matchmaking, UI, localization, animation, and performance
The developer credits Early Access players for shaping the release, directing feedback toward the Community Hub.
For players who have been waiting on a stable build before committing, 1.0 arrives with both new mechanical depth and a discounted entry point — at least for the duration of the festival.
