Nuclear Epoch 1.0.1.1 Brings Steam Workshop and Official ModKit
The update opens community modding through Steam Workshop integration and an Unreal Engine 5-based development kit, while patching several persistent bugs.
Nuclear Epoch's 1.0.1.1 update, published by CatPlayStudio, arrives with its most significant addition yet: full Steam Workshop support and a publicly released Mod Development Kit.
The ModKit is built on Unreal Engine 5.7.4 and is available as a separate download under the Tools category in the Steam Library. It includes the ability to inherit from native Blueprint classes for buildings, items, and weapons; an automated packaging tool that handles mod metadata and uploads directly to the Workshop via UGC.exe; and an ExampleMod project to help creators get started. A Mod Development Wiki covering installation through to packaging has also been prepared.
One note: at time of publishing, testing is only available on the Beta branch.

Optimizations
- Construction capture box now displays custom names

For players, the Workshop launch is the headline shift — mod support through a structured kit means community-created buildings, items, and weapons could meaningfully extend the game's content going forward.
