Once Human 3.0.1 Patches Fishing Bait Changes, Quest Bugs, and Dye Glitches
A rolling set of fixes across late July addresses everything from silent task text to undocumented bait adjustments that left anglers fishing less efficiently.
The Once Human team has published a changelog for Version 3.0.1 covering fixes issued between July 23 and July 27, with one additional patch expected to land by 08:00 PT.
What changed
July 27
- Fixed a language localization issue where the default preset name for Fashion Dye was too long, preventing saves.
- Fixed incorrect task text displayed after returning to Mitsuko's house during the beginner task.
- Fixed kill-counting not registering correctly in the "A Restart" side story task.
July 24
- Acknowledged and explained an undisclosed July 23 change to bait attraction values for different fish. The Crankbait from Deviation Frog the Leaper now draws special fish — including Electric Eels — more effectively. Players are advised to revise their fishing strategies accordingly.
- Fixed item text descriptions that did not match actual in-game effects.
- Fixed display issues on some custom servers.
July 23
- Fixed a dye area defect in the Gilded Summer Set's female bottom gauze piece. Affected players are to receive compensation within three business days.
- Fixed abnormal structure display behavior (the source text is cut short here).
The fishing bait change is the most consequential note: it was applied silently during the July 23 version update and not included in that update's announcement, meaning players who kept old strategies saw unexplained efficiency drops before the team issued this explanation. For players affected by the Gilded Summer Set dye bug, compensation is in transit.
