Operation Avalon Bridges EVE Online and EVE Vanguard in Limited-Time World Event
A cross-game conflict running 7–20 July ties capsuleer activity in EVE Online directly to the ground war in EVE Vanguard, with exclusive rewards for both.
From 7 to 20 July, EVE Online's Operation Avalon runs as a limited-time World Event spanning both EVE Online and EVE Vanguard — a rare instance of the two games sharing a single live narrative.
What changed
For EVE Online capsuleers, the event introduces several new activities and rewards across New Eden:
- AEGIS squalls — renegade warclone haulers carrying intel and secrets — can be destroyed for immediate rewards or tracked to hidden locations for greater risk and greater riches
- Vanguard Resonant Cyphers can be exchanged to earn rewards and contribute to a chosen empire's claim over Avalon
- Avalon Investigations appear across New Eden, offering combat, hacking, and salvaging encounters
- Exclusive rewards include the Breach Control, a new faction damage control module that offers resistances and can be activated to reduce Breacher pod damage
- Additional drops include a new officer Inertial Stabilizer, a Mordu's Legion drone, skill points, volatile boosters, SKINR components, Arkombine Arisen SKINs, and an exclusive Vanguard-themed character background
On the EVE Vanguard side, Operation Avalon introduces the Lost Convoy battlefield, expanded weaponry, redesigned extraction gameplay, and a continuation of the Vanguard story.
The cross-game structure means player actions in space nominally influence the outcome of a planetary conflict — and a new module with a novel activation mechanic gives the event at least one concrete mechanical hook worth pursuing.
