Palworld v1.0.3 Lowers Unlock Gates and Doubles Fiber from Trees
A broad balance pass makes late-game resources easier to reach and smooths over several co-op and progression bugs.
Pocketpair's v1.0.3 update for Palworld arrives with a clear editorial intent: reduce friction across items, base-building, and progression without rewriting the game's fundamental economy.
What changed
Items & Equipment
- Jetragon-related technologies drop from unlock level 79 to 70; Pal Gear materials for riding Jetragon are also reduced.
- The Aquatic Construction Kit falls from level 66 to level 23, and its Ancient Technology Point cost drops from 4 to 1.
- World Tree Holy Water receives an extended duration, a weight reduction from 1 to 0.1, a new sound effect on use, and broader availability — added to World Tree expeditions, fishing, and the Large Fishing Pond, with increased yields from Pals in the area and from Teafant Spring.
- Fiber yield from trees is doubled.
- Ancient Armor series crafting work amounts are adjusted.
Bases & Missions
- Crude Oil Extractor, High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor, and Large Power Generator building costs are reduced.
- Both Crude Oil Extractors now produce oil faster.
- The base mission requiring a Crude Oil Extractor can be satisfied by building a High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor instead.
Server Settings
- A new option (
bAllowEnemyCampSpawnNearBaseCamp) lets server operators disable the suppression of enemy camp spawns near player bases.
Bug Fixes
- A Sunreach main-mission progression blocker — triggered by removing a barrier before accepting the quest — is resolved.
- A co-op lighting issue causing incorrect display on the client side after cutscenes is fixed.
Taken together, the patch substantially lowers the cost of reaching key late-game systems, making the path from early bases to endgame content notably shorter for players who found the previous unlock thresholds prohibitive.
