Paralives Patch 0.1.5 Overhauls Saves, Expands Customisation
A single update shrinks save files by roughly 94%, adds Steam Cloud sync, and broadens what players can change about their Paras mid-game.
Paralives has received its 0.1.5 patch, and the headline change is one players will feel immediately: save files now average 30 MB instead of 500 MB — a dramatic reduction that should ease storage pressure and speed up load times.
What changed
Save system
- Save files reduced from ~500 MB to ~30 MB on average
- Autosave now retains the three most recent versions of each file, accessible from the Load Game menu
- Steam Cloud support added for cross-computer continuity
Gameplay and world
- Players can revert lots to their original appearance
- Being late to work or school by cancelling the Go To Work action now carries a job performance penalty
- Water recyclers, wind turbines, and solar panels on a player's terrain now reduce utility bills
Paramaker and appearance
- Paras can now be edited mid-game via a mirror, or at the hospital and pharmacy — covering all Paramaker options except labels, personalities, and lifestages
- Paramaker music shifts to a softer version when zoomed in
- New baby presets added to the randomiser; minor Label UI adjustments made
- The Train Paramaker panel replaced with curtains for improved readability
Items and assets
- Roughly 40 new picture frame artworks added
- Custom images now supported on mugs, rugs, skateboards, curtains, cushions, and flags
- Four new hand and bath towel items added
- Mods menu gains a toggle-all button
Bug fixes include corrected eating animations, Art Bundle 2 completion fixes, fire-extinguishing edge cases on certain lots, and Paras in relationships no longer becoming embarrassed by shared bathroom use.
For players managing large households or multiple save states, the storage and autosave changes alone represent a meaningful quality-of-life shift.
