Pavlov Update 34 Brings Steam Frame Support, Custom Gloves, and Bot Servers
The August 2026 update extends Pavlov to a new platform while tightening the game's technical foundation across networking, recoil, and visuals.
Pavlov's Update 34, published on 12 August 2026, centers on a single headline move: Pavlov Shack is now available on the Steam Frame, free to all existing Steam owners of Pavlov.
The development team framed the surrounding patch as a deliberate refinement pass — a chance to stabilize the core experience while the platform port consumed much of the team's bandwidth.
What changed
- Custom gloves and watches added to the cosmetic store; cosmetic variations will rotate monthly
- Custom knife (Infernal) added to the cosmetic store
- Bot support enabled on community servers via
bEnableBots=trueand RCON commands - Networking logic adjusted to reduce CPU overhead
- Recoil decoupled from framerate, addressing a long-standing consistency issue
- Tracers increased to 16 on-screen and their material logic refactored
- Mipmaps added to UI
- MOTD refactored
One breakage to note: older Pavlov TV replay files are no longer compatible with the Update 34 build. A Steam beta branch — Update33-ReplayCompatibility — has been provided for players who need to access previous footage.
Looking ahead, the team states work is underway on bot improvements and a higher update cadence.
For players, the recoil and networking changes are the most immediately felt: two corrections that should make gunfights feel more consistent regardless of hardware.
