Pax Dei

The R48 update for Pax Dei arrives with a notable breadth of additions — new creatures, new weapons, new flora, and a structural change that brings the game's internal achievement system onto Steam for the first time.

What changed

New content

  • The Radiant Hart, a new creature, now appears in the Wildlands and Lyonesse, dropping Radiant Hart Antlers used in several new recipes.
  • A new flower, Blessed Sevenfold, has been added to those same regions.
  • Two new tiered equipment pieces arrive: the Shepherd's Hushed Canopy (hat, Tiers 2–4) and the Ancient Sylvan Staff (Tiers 2–4).
  • Three decorations added: Ward of Demira, Trophy of the Radiant Hart, and Chandelier of the Radiant Hart.
  • Cleared Ground, a grass-removing building piece, is available in two sizes.
  • 70 in-game achievements have been added as Steam Achievements.
  • The Redeeming Queue now allows reclaiming items from expired plots across any zone in the same world, with Lyonesse excluded.

Combat & abilities

  • Consumable buffs (food and potions) can now be refreshed when 30% or less duration remains; the UI reflects this.
  • The Ancient Sylvan Staff gains two new spells — Reaping Bloom and Seeding Grove — alongside the existing Regrowth.
  • Overgrowth now scales with Seeding Grove when two players wield one of each staff type.
  • Bloodfed Grove heal-over-time reduced by approximately 10%.
  • Beneficial effects from outside players no longer reach duelists during a Duel.
  • Staves now lose durability when casting; a broken staff cannot be wielded. The developers acknowledge this change is unpopular and note they will monitor and rebalance.

For players who have been tracking progress manually, the arrival of 70 Steam Achievements alone represents a meaningful quality-of-life shift in how long-term goals are recorded.
