PDX ModCon Returns July 24–26 with 60 Mods and a Charity Drive
A fan-organised weekend showcase for Paradox mods doubles as a fundraiser for video game preservation.
PDX ModCon, a player-run event independent of Paradox Interactive, opens this Friday for a three-day celebration of modding across Crusader Kings III, Victoria 3, and — new to the lineup this year — Europa Universalis V.
What's on the programme
- 60 mods presented over the weekend via trailers and formal presentations
- Developer Q&A sessions for some of the event's largest projects, including After the End and MEIOU and Taxes
- A live quiz hosted by the Morgenröte team, in which viewers compete against one another
- A fundraising drive for the Video Game History Foundation, an organisation that collects and archives video game materials — source code, magazines, and more — and makes them openly accessible
The event runs Friday the 24th through Sunday the 26th of July. Further details and a Discord server are available through the official ModCon website.
For players who follow the modding scene, ModCon offers a concentrated look at where community-built content is headed across three of Paradox's flagship titles — all without requiring a purchase or a patch.
